Finalize a traffic stops policy and the traffic stops consent decree stipulation

Strategic Priority Objectives

Objective Number Objective Description
1 The Commission will work with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) to finalize a traffic stops policy.
2 The Commission will work with the Office of Attorney General, and the Independent Monitoring Team (IMT), CPD and the Department of Law to finalize the stipulation language governing traffic stops in the consent decree.
3 The Commission will continue to engage the community around traffic stops policy. This includes working with District Councilors and making sure diverse perspectives are heard
4 The Commission will develop a plan for how it will monitor the implementation of the traffic stops policy.
