On January 29, the Commission voted to nominate LaKenya White as the next Chief of COPA. Chief White was confirmed by City Council at its March meeting.

Community Engagement
The Commission must make its selection based on strong community input and engagement. Feedback from the public will inform the development of interview questions and the scoring rubric used to evaluate candidates.
As part of the search process, the Commission held four public listening sessions across the city to gather input from residents.
